Job Title: Maintenance Staff - Part-Time Custodian

**Job Summary:**

The Indian Trails Camp Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Staff - Part-Time Custodian to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning and Maintenance:
  • Perform regular cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and emptying trash bins in scheduled areas of the facility.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas, offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, and specialized facilities used by clients.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or need for repairs to the Maintenance Manager promptly.
Specialized Cleaning:
  • Use appropriate cleaning agents and techniques to sanitize areas used by individuals with disabilities, ensuring that all health and safety standards are met.
  • Follow specific cleaning protocols for equipment and spaces used in therapy and support services.
Support for Events and Activities:
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down rooms for meetings, events, and activities as needed.
  • Ensure that all areas are returned to a clean and orderly state following events.
Supplies Management:
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and inform the Maintenance Manager when reordering is necessary.
  • Ensure that cleaning equipment is maintained in good working order.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and clients.
  • Participate in training sessions on health and safety protocols specific to working in an environment supporting individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred, especially in a healthcare, educational, or similar environment.
  • Skills: Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Sensitivity and Understanding: A compassionate attitude and understanding of the needs of individuals with disabilities.

Working Hours:

  • Part-time 15-20 hours per week
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during special events or as needed.

Compensation:

  • $14.00 per hour, depending on experience
