Job Title:

As a Diet Technician, you will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain accurate patient nutrition information and ensure tray accuracy based on therapeutic diets.

Your role includes participating in bedside rounds to communicate effectively with the healthcare team, responding promptly to special requests from staff and peers, and participating in quality checks to verify accurate patient nutrition information.

Responsibilities:

• Print patient nutrition information
• Verify tray accuracy based on therapeutic diets
• Ensure flexibility and availability for department coverage
• Participate in bedside rounds and communicate with the healthcare team
• Respond promptly to special requests from staff, peers, or patient care providers

NICU:
• Complex cases
• Computrition

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ months experience as a Diet Tech or Diet Aide
• Experience with Computrition/Nutrition software
• Professional bedside manner
• Experience interacting with patients and providing customer service/patient care
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year; ideally 2 years
• HS Diploma
• Background in acute healthcare with any Nutrition Software (Computrition or CBORD preferred)
• No Diet Tech Certification required

Work Environment:

You will work within a team of 6 Diet Technicians, including one lead, and float across 2 to 6 floors. The team includes 2 openers, 2 closers, and all 6 work midday shifts. Shifts are 8 hours long and cover 7 days a week, with available hours from 5:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Specific shifts include 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, and 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM. Flexibility within these hours is required, and the schedule is provided a month in advance.
