UPMC invites you to apply for the position of Senior Support Specialist, a part-time role with variable day shift hours from 8AM to 12PM, Monday through Friday, and minimal travel required.

Responsibilities
  • Provides input for presentations and department work, drafting materials based on supervisor's initial ideas.
  • Develops and sends department correspondence, including meeting minutes and event notifications, on behalf of the department and department head.
  • Plans and organizes conferences for the department and department head, ensuring all logistics are coordinated.
  • Offers general administrative support to the department or group of professionals under minimal supervision.
  • Maintains supervisor's calendar, proactively scheduling meetings, recommending venues, and ensuring meeting logistics are managed smoothly.
  • Handles various accounting and budgetary tasks, including completing expense reports and managing financial documentation.
  • Makes travel arrangements for the department head or team, ensuring all details are covered.
  • Develops reports for executives or the department, analyzing complex data to identify trends and making recommendations to improve efficiency in administrative procedures and practices.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years' experience in an increasingly responsible administrative support role
  • Ability to perform advanced functions in word processing, electronic mail/calendar, spreadsheet, presentation and database software
  • Ability to use applicable MS Suite products
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes and procedures
  • Working knowledge of accounting and financial principles and functions
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Ability to use discretion and independent judgment

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 34

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
