Design Role Overview

Northern Impact LLC, a national multidisciplinary design firm, is seeking a talented Designer to join their San Francisco office. In this role, you will work on all phases of design & construction documentation for education, civic, and cultural projects.

Estimated Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

This position requires excellent time management, communication, and technical skills as you collaborate with your team to develop design concepts into high-quality documents. The firm has 11 offices worldwide, focusing on healthcare, arts and culture, community, corporate, education, and government projects.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of project design philosophy and provide input to the design and building performance strategy.
  • Work closely with senior project designers, contributing to project technical design effort, subsequent detailed design development, project coordination, and quality control efforts during all project phases.
  • Seek creative and innovative solutions and develop appropriate research and documents to support your solutions.
  • Actively collaborate with consultants and knowledge resources to ensure project deliverables are coordinated, integrated, and support the design concept and performance goals of the project.

You will be responsible for preparing design and construction documents during all project phases, delivering complete, accurate, and coordinated project documentation. Additionally, you will advance the production of schematic, design development, and construction documents in compliance with project scope, schedule, cost, and design intent.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Architecture (Master's degree is preferred).
  • Between 0-4 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Max, SketchUp, Rhino, InDesign, and other BIM technology is essential.
  • OSHPD/HCAI Experience Required.
