MRI Technologist II

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist II to join our team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment to obtain images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, according to Radiologist's directions and established procedures.
- Position patients, administer injections of contrast media, and manipulate images to ensure a high-quality exam.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, being attentive to eye contact, facial/body expressions, and tone of voice.
- Explain procedures to patients, providing opportunities for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to troubleshoot problems as related to the software
- At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT(R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology), or ARMRIT (American Registry of MRI Technologists) certification
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher, preferred
- Advanced techniques including cardiac and functional neuro protocols, preferred
- Previous MRI experience, required
