Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Enrichment Center Program Coordinator to join our team at Rocketship Nashville Northeast. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enriching the educational experience of our K-5 students, providing them with a variety of learning opportunities outside of the traditional academic classroom.

Responsibilities:
  • Motivate Students: Create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to participate in enrichment activities, developing a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.
  • Develop Learning Opportunities: Collaborate with teachers and staff to design and implement a year-long scope and sequence map, thematic unit plans, and lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students.
  • Facilitate Enrichment Programs: Oversee the daily operations of the Enrichment Center, ensuring that students have access to a wide range of enrichment activities that foster social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Culture and Community: Contribute to the development of a positive school culture by collaborating with staff to create a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects Rocketship's core values.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure a seamless transition between enrichment programs and traditional classroom instruction.
  • Leadership and Professional Development: Serve as a leader and facilitator for large group lessons, modeling best practices in teaching and learning and participating in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Education: A minimum of 2 years of college or a passing score on Rocketship's Paraprofessional Assessment.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with youth, preferably in an educational setting, is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and work closely with a wide range of staff members, including teachers, parents, and students.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Rocketship's core values and commitment to providing a world-class education to students in underserved communities.
