Prevention Specialist Opportunity at Brightli

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Substance Use Prevention Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in their community.

About the Job

Brightli is a mission-driven organization that is committed to improving client care, reducing the financial burden of community mental health centers, and advocating for increased access to mental health and substance use care in our communities.

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for community-based coalitions, teams, and task forces in the assigned geographic area, fostering collaboration and partnerships to prevent substance use and promote community wellness.

You will provide information and technical assistance to coalitions regarding substance use prevention programs and resources, ensuring access to relevant information and support. Additionally, you will offer training resources to enhance coalitions' ability to prevent substance use and promote community wellness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for community-based coalitions, teams, and task forces in the assigned geographic area.
  • Resource Provision: Provide information and technical assistance to coalitions regarding substance use prevention programs and resources.
  • Training Facilitation: Offer training resources to enhance coalitions' ability to prevent substance use and promote community wellness.
  • Service Response: Respond to requests for prevention services and information throughout the assigned counties.
Requirements
  • Education and/or Experience: Master's Degree in social work, counseling, public health, education, psychology, community development, public administration, or a closely related field; OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with at least one (1) year of professional experience in a social service agency; OR Associate's Degree in relevant fields with at least two (2) years of professional experience in a social service agency.
  • Credentials: Obtain the Missouri Substance Abuse Prevention Associate (MSAPA) credential within six (6) months of hire; Attend the Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST) within nine (9) months of hire.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
