Job Summary

Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient records, and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming patients and visitors with a warm and inviting smile, answering inquiries, and referring calls to the appropriate staff member.
  • Demonstrating a high level of customer service at all times, ensuring patient satisfaction, and optimizing provider time and treatment room utilization.
  • Generating accurate reports, logs, and lists, including authorization and verification documents.
  • Managing co-pays, reconciling accounts, and controlling credit extended to patients.
  • Communicating with treating physicians to obtain updated prescriptions and plans of care.
  • Setting up new and returning patient cases in Theraoffice, including demographic and insurance information.
  • Coordinating patient appointments, notifying clinicians of patient arrival, and reviewing service delivery compared to schedule.
  • Maintaining patient records, filing and retrieving documents, and ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Performing other duties and assignments as required, including maintaining a working knowledge of Metro's rules and policies.
Requirements
  • One year of medical office experience preferred, with experience in an EMR system a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in the Google Suite platform and ability to learn new programs quickly.
  • High school diploma or GED required, with one year of customer service experience strongly desired.
