Rochester Regional Health is seeking an accomplished Internal Medicine Faculty Preceptor to excel in our Outpatient Department (OPD). This role offers a unique chance to mentor and guide internal medicine residents while delivering exceptional patient care in a vibrant, academically focused environment.

About the Role

As a Faculty Preceptor, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of internal medicine physicians through direct supervision, clinical teaching, and leadership within our residency program. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical Precepting: Supervising and mentoring internal medicine residents in the outpatient setting, guiding them through patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management.
  • Patient Care: Providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in a diverse outpatient practice setting.
  • Educational Leadership: Participating in residency curriculum development, teaching conferences, and educational sessions.
  • Faculty Collaboration: Working closely with a team of dedicated faculty members to foster a dynamic learning environment.
  • Research & Scholarship: Opportunities to engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations.
  • Quality Improvement: Participating in clinical quality initiatives and promoting best practices in patient care.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • A Medical Degree (MD/DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or Board Eligibility).
  • New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date).
  • Prior experience in a teaching/precepting role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A passion for teaching and mentoring residents.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated salary range of $200,000 - $250,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a dynamic work environment that fosters growth, innovation, and excellence in patient care.
