Program Manager Job Description

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead a team responsible for the development of Department of Defense products.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a large team with Customers, Engineers, Managers, Technicians, and Support Personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and issues
  • Assemble and direct corporate resources toward the execution of contracts
  • Identify, track, avoid, and mitigate risks
  • Trade issues of scope, approach, cost, and schedule
  • Deliver contracted results
  • Manage daily activities of an engineering support and logistics team
  • Create and maintain project schedules
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical engineering, science, or business
  • 3+ years of project management or technical leadership experience
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in task management
  • Ability to organize and manage a team
  • Experience developing program schedules and controlling budgets to meet required deadlines
  • Experience leading electronic development projects or other technical projects
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while making direct contributions to team success
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Experience creating and maintaining a project schedule using tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a US Government security clearance
  • Must be willing and able to work on-site in North Logan, UT
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability and willingness to travel
