Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse on our Telemetry Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to a diverse population. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, provide, supervise, and document professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Chart observations and activities related to patient care in our electronic health record.
  • Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
  • Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
  • Perform interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, infection control, and hospital policies and patient care outcome standards.
  • Collect blood specimens by venipuncture or micro techniques for laboratory analysis necessary for patient treatment and diagnosis.
  • Operate equipment needed to perform department-specific duties.
  • Proficiently read telemetry monitors.
