We are currently seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Course Assistants to support the teaching and learning process in our MS in Social Policy Program. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with faculty members and contribute to the design of engaging course materials and assignments.

About the Role:
The Course Assistant will be responsible for managing the Canvas site, grading assignments and class participation, contributing to the design of some assignments, and answering students' questions about course logistics, content, and grading. They will also attend lectures or read relevant course materials instead of attending lectures, as determined by the instructor. Depending on the course, they may be required to design lab sessions based on past lab materials and hold lab sessions.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a strong mastery of the course content, demonstrated by relevant degrees, classes taken, and/or professional experience. A minimum of a master's degree in Economics or equivalent is required, along with familiarity with public economics. Ideal candidates will also have some research experience in public economics.

What We Offer:
As a Course Assistant at Penn, you can expect to work approximately 7-10 hours per week (up to 100 hours total) and be paid $25/hour up to a maximum of $2,500 over the course of the semester. This is a temporary, non-exempt position, and salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position.
