Job Summary

Ascend Ministries is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Addiction Therapist to join our team at our Rehrersburg location. As a Christian organization, we offer a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals struggling with chemical addiction.

Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly individual therapy sessions for a caseload of 8 clients.
  • Facilitate process and psychoeducational group counseling sessions as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Navigate various client systems, including families, court members, probation officers, and social service representatives.
  • Accurately document services according to program guidelines and auditing bodies.
  • Work independently to complete assignments while engaging with the treatment team to achieve program goals.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience in counseling adults with chemical addiction.
  • Familiarity with the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model.
  • Willingness to work weekends.
  • 2 years of sobriety from any previous chemical dependency (if applicable).
  • Passion and appreciation for the Christian mission of Ascend Ministries.
