Maintenance Superintendent Job Description

About the Position:

National Beef Leathers of St. Joseph, Missouri, is seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Maintenance Superintendent. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department and ensuring that the facility maintenance plan is effectively executed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: The Maintenance Superintendent will lead a team of maintenance personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement a maintenance plan that aligns with the company's goals and objectives. This includes identifying and prioritizing maintenance tasks, allocating resources, and tracking progress.
  • Communication: Collaborate with production, scheduling, and engineering teams to ensure that maintenance activities do not impact production schedules or operations.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance personnel, ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 4 years of experience in an industrial maintenance setting, with a focus on leadership and maintenance planning.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on technical or vocational training.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of safety procedures and rules pertaining to maintenance and environmental operations.
  • Leadership Experience: 2 years of leadership experience, with a focus on team management and development.
