Anchorage-based TDL Staffing, Inc. is immediately seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to oversee the nursing services department at one of their assisted living facilities.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents, focusing on memory care and providing support to staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nursing Department Oversight: The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and care of residents, ensuring that all needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Staff Supervision: The Director will supervise caregivers and on-duty supervisors, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure that care standards are consistently met.
  • Care Planning: Quarterly and annual plan reviews for residents will be conducted by the Director, working closely with families and outside providers to develop and implement effective care plans.

In addition, the Director will serve as a liaison between families and the Director of Nursing, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise. The role also involves conducting assessments for prospective residents, coordinating outside resources such as pharmacy and hospice organizations, and managing facility scheduling.

Requirements
  • A current Registered Nurse license or LPN with the state of Alaska is required, along with current CPR certification.
  • Experience caring for patients with dementia and 1 year of experience in a hospital, assisted living, long-term care, or other healthcare-related community are necessary qualifications.
  • A background check will be performed as part of the hiring process.

This full-time position includes rotational on-call hours, requiring the ability to be reachable 24/7 while on call. On-call duties include triaging resident emergencies, answering medication questions from med techs, and giving approval for PRN medications.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000-$95,000 per annum, depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental coverage, as well as 401(k) matching, is offered to eligible employees.
