Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Sushi Cook to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Sushi Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking sushi dishes to the highest standard of quality. You will work closely with our sushi team to ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook sushi dishes to the highest standard of quality
  • Work closely with the sushi team to ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and to the highest standard
  • Provide excellent customer service by effectively handling a variety of tasks, including consistently preparing ingredients and creating high-quality items
  • Follow proper recipes, knife skills, and cooking techniques when prepping ingredients and cooking sushi menu items
  • Effectively multitask and balance prep work while ensuring items are prepared in a timely manner at the highest standard of quality
  • Engage with customers, educating them on our world-class sushi products

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have previous experience in a food preparation or cooking role
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
