About the Role

We're seeking a multifaceted Product Security Engineer to evangelize embedded security and improve our vehicle platform's security architecture. This role requires a broad set of security skills to lead implementation across multiple platforms.

  • Drive the implementation of new security features, such as remote command signing and secured Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, to bolster the security of our automotive systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams to architect and review the implementation of security features in automotive applications and backend systems, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Assist in triaging vulnerabilities reported by various sources, including internal security assessments, external researchers, and bug bounty programs, to prioritize remediation efforts effectively.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of third-party vendors and suppliers to evaluate their security posture and ensure the integrity of software components integrated into our automotive systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams during the development lifecycle, offering expertise in security considerations and best practices.

We're looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in product or cybersecurity security engineering, preferably in the automotive industry. Strong architectural review skills and the ability to conduct thorough vendor security assessments are essential. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also required.

Compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off.
