Interventional Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians in interventional procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
- Administer and record isotope dosage in accordance with established departmental guidelines.
- Observe patients during procedures, set up and takedown procedure rooms, and retrieve necessary supplies as requested by physicians.
- Operate imaging equipment, adjust settings based on real-time instructions from physicians, and retrieve medical supplies for procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast media for patient examinations according to radiologists' direction.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and personal dignity by following appropriate patient care guidelines.
- Maintain department inventory by ordering, stocking, and performing inventory checks on medical supplies.
- Perform scheduled cleanings and tests on imaging and processing equipment, documenting results as necessary.
- Use Radiology Information System (RIS) to input patient examination data and place patient orders when appropriate.
- Associate's Degree in Radiography from an accredited program.
- RT(R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- 1-3 years of professional work experience in radiography, with a minimum of 6 months of experience in a procedural-based department.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
