The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

This role involves managing clinically and administratively the operations of the hospital during assigned shifts and collaborating with department directors/managers and hospital administration. In the absence of department management and hospital administration, you will collaborate with the Administrator on call and/or other members of the management team to ensure appropriate facility resources and response to meet organization-wide healthcare service responsibilities.

You will manage, administer, and coordinate activities of hospital services to ensure they are consistent with organizational objectives, policies, and procedures. This role also requires being a clinical and service resource, ensuring appropriate patient placement, supervising clinical activities, maintaining disaster training skills, and coordinating safe and appropriate patient care between all departments and disciplines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Current Texas Registered Nurse Licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related field preferred
  • BLS & ACLS certification
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Additional languages preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience as a staff nurse in a clinical area
  • Five years of clinical experience. Critical care experience preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Documented clinical knowledge and skills
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer knowledge and keyboarding skills
  • Excellent public relations, negotiating, and prioritizing skills
  • Must be able to function in high-pressure situations
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, strong communication skills, and leadership abilities
