Varsity Assistant Coach Opportunity

The Peddie School Rowing Program is seeking experienced coaches to fill varsity and novice positions. We are looking for individuals who can provide guidance, support, and motivation to our high school rowers and coxswains.

About the Role:
  • Assist in coaching high school rowers and coxswains on the water and on land in the fall and spring seasons.
  • Create a positive, competitive, and fun team atmosphere.
  • Prepare rowers and coxswains for competition in head and sprint races.
  • Attend all practices and competitions.
Requirements:
  • At least three years of collegiate rowing/coxing experience or above.
  • Clear understanding of rowing technique.
  • Ability to communicate and explain concepts clearly.
  • Create and maintain a safe, positive atmosphere for students to develop into competitive athletes of high character.
  • Experience driving a coaching launch.
  • Have a NJ Boating Safety License.
  • Be able to swim.
  • Complete USRowing SafeSport Training.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional development and growth within the program.

Work Schedule:

Coaches will be required to work Monday-Saturday afternoons in the fall and spring. Races occur most weekends in the spring and two or three weekends in the fall.
