Job Overview

Quantum Education Professionals is seeking a dedicated and compassionate educator to join our team in Gaston County, NC. As a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring their academic, social, and emotional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification in Deaf Education or appropriate state licensure
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or willingness to become proficient, depending on student needs
  • Experience working with children who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of auditory-oral methods, Total Communication, and/or bilingual-bicultural approaches
  • Familiarity with assistive hearing technologies and accommodations
