Healthcare Data Specialist

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to fill our Medical Records Specialist position. This role involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of medical records and release of health information regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Access and prepare medical records as needed for patients, internal staff, and external third parties.
- Maintain accurate processing of medical records requests from patients, providers, and other third parties.
- Facilitate responses to patients' rights requests pertaining to medical records as provided by HIPAA and other federal and state privacy laws.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 6+ months prior experience executing medical records requests AND 6 months of contact center or customer service experience within the last 4 years.
- A deep understanding of HIPAA guidelines and associated privacy policies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A high comfort level typing, navigating the internet and using multiple software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through on meeting goals and deadlines despite obstacles.
