Caregiver Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Caregiver Specialist to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network in Monterey Park, CA. As a Direct Support Professional 2, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their full potential.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centered care and support to clients, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This includes assisting with daily living activities, preparing meals, and transporting clients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Daily Routine Planning: Create and implement daily routines for clients based on their individual program plans.
• Personal Care: Assist clients with bathroom needs, change undergarments and clothing as required, and ensure overall personal hygiene.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Transportation: Safely transport clients to and from their homes or facilities using company vans (if necessary).

Requirements

• Certifications: Possess a Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 (or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire).
• First Aid & CPR: Be certified in First Aid and CPR.
• Licensure: Hold a California Driver's License.
• Age Requirement: Be at least 21 years old.

Estimated Salary Range: $17.00 per hour, depending on experience.
