Responsibilities:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Williamson Health Medical Group Cool Springs, your primary responsibilities will include:
• Assessing patients' medical histories and vital signs
• Administering immunizations and injections as needed
• Counseling patients on health-related issues
• Maintaining clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals
• Coordinating referrals and consultations with other medical services
• Performing phlebotomy procedures
• Triaging phone calls and addressing patient portal messages
• Obtaining prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing
• Assisting physicians with medical procedures
• Processing physician orders for patient lab tests
• Maintaining quality assurance for office lab
• Coordinating with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate supplies of medication

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
• Licensure by the State of Tennessee
• At least one year of experience in a medical office environment
• Competence in using Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, stethoscope, audio scope, business phone, and various oral and injectable medications

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in an office environment, which may involve sitting, standing, communicating, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
