Columbia University is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as the Clinical Data Navigator for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology, responsible for investigating the analytic needs of the division and designing, creating, and maintaining data structures, reports, dashboards, and related data extracts from various institutional data sources.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain data structures, reports, dashboards, and related data extracts from various institutional data sources.
- Investigate the analytic needs of the Pediatric Cardiology division and provide guidance on optimal existing and potential solutions.
- Work with end-users and analytics groups across the enterprise to understand analytic needs and translate operational definitions into application-based, technical specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Health Informatics, or a similar discipline.
- Three years of related full-time work experience; significant relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Proficiency in MS SQL, including relational database design and the use of T-SQL, subqueries, and window functions.
- Experience with statistical analysis, especially with conducting power analyses.
- Epic Cogito, Caboodle, Clarity, and Clinical Data Model certification (or certification within six months of employment).
Preferred Qualifications
- One or more Epic certifications in any application.
- One year of report development experience utilizing Epic's database data structures.
- Experience with Power BI and/or other popular BI tools.
- Experience with common clinical data coding standards (ICD, CPT, LOINC, RxNorm, etc) and workflows.
