About BraveWorks

BraveWorks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women who lack opportunities for connection, purposeful work, and economic confidence due to factors beyond their control.

The organization has grown into a global entity, partnering with artisans from eight developing countries to provide fair wages, training, and micro-enterprise opportunities. This enables artisans to create sustainable and ethically made goods, sold online and in Charlotte, NC, with 100% of proceeds reinvested back into programs and services.

We believe in the power of women to change the world, regardless of their circumstances. Our vision is God-inspired transformation through artisan enterprise, leading to abundant and purposeful lives. We empower women and families overcoming trauma and injustice, bridging the gap from pain to purpose through impactful connections, inspired creations, and economic confidence.

Services Provided to Artisans
  • Healing: Artisans are connected with licensed therapists, mentors, and mental health partners for trauma-informed support.
  • Training: Artisans receive transferable soft skills, hard skills, and life skills development.
  • Connections: Relational connections promote social capital expansion, helping artisans emerge back into society with supportive communities and resources.
  • Earnings: Artisans are paid fair market value upfront for products and time, gaining access to the economic ladder and self-efficacy.
