Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze patient specimens and perform laboratory tests to determine the presence or absence of disease.
  • Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
  • Prepare and analyze biological samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens.
  • Record and report test results, including abnormal findings and critical values.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely test results.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
  • Registered or registry eligible in Medical Technology (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or CSMLS).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
