At Independent Living Services, we are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents.
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about providing quality care and education to people with developmental disabilities.
About the JobThis position requires a valid, active license for Licensed Practical Nurse and the ability to operate a vehicle. The ideal candidate must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and have excellent communication skills.
- Assist residents in ongoing health-related skills, self-administration of medications, and/or sexual knowledge as indicated in the individual program plan (IPP).
- Assess and report residents' health-related needs in the development and implementation of the IPP, as assigned.
- Provide staff with in-service instructions as needed in health-related areas as it applies to residents.
- Maintain all medications and medication cabinets in compliance with ICF-MR regulations.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A valid, active license for Licensed Practical Nurse.
- The ability to operate a vehicle and maintain a good driving record.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A strong commitment to providing quality care and education to people with developmental disabilities.
