Job Overview

The Gagnon Group LLC is seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior Associate to join our team in Boston, MA or Hoboken, NJ. This role involves working on federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax outsourcing, consulting, and advocacy engagements.

About the Role

This senior associate position requires strong research skills, excellent data management skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate will have experience in federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax, and will be able to provide consulting services to Fortune 500 and middle market companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on federal and state income tax, sales and use tax, and property tax outsourcing engagements, audits, and appeals
  • Provide consulting services to Fortune 500 and middle market companies
  • Delegate tasks, identify opportunities, and take ownership of engagements
  • Interact daily with tax authorities, clients, and other team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting
  • CPA, LLM, or JD preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel) required
  • Ability to work independently, managing and prioritizing multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational, analytical, research, communication, and negotiation skills
Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and location
