Medical Assistant Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Platinum Dermatology Partners. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatology team.
Responsibilities- Escort patients to and from exam rooms, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience.
- Enter medical histories and prescriptions into our electronic medical record system with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures, providing support and maintaining a safe environment.
- Perform extractions, injections, and other patient treatments with precision and care.
- Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
- Educate patients and respond to their questions in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Document all medical instructions given to patients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies to ensure a clean and efficient work environment.
- Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office, with prior dermatology experience preferred.
- Certification preferred (i.e., Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician, etc.).
- Quality written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with patients and coworkers.
- Knowledgeable of medical dermatology terms, CPT, and ICD-10.
- Able to prioritize tasks, understand provider instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
This position is in a well-lighted medical office environment, with occasional evening and weekend work. You must possess the manual dexterity to operate office machines, including computers and calculators, and be able to stoop, bend, and move around the office as needed.
