This position is focused on leading the Product Support and Applications Development efforts within the US R&D organization. The incumbent will oversee the execution of technical support activities, develop and provide technical oversight to customer-facing activities.

The responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical product support to customers and plants; assisting in solving technical issues.
  • Promoting new products, proposing customized designs to meet customer needs.
  • Managing legacy product ranges.
  • Training LISI employees in the application, use, and technical merits of our products.
  • Representing LISI at industry and governmental committees and assisting customers in coordinating fasteners standards.
  • Coordinating with sales for market and business development activities.
  • Monitoring competitor products, installation trends, and customer applications.
  • Identifying, developing, and being part of the US network of Customers, Suppliers, and Specialized organizations.
  • Managing Technical Support for Licensees and customers, ensuring each receives appropriate support and commitment.
  • Organizing yearly licensee committee meetings and managing follow-up and execution of committee actions.
  • Visiting and developing direct relationships with internal licensees to share and capitalize product expertise.
  • Managing the licensee audit program, coordinating, and reporting to the IP manager.
  • Managing technical documentation updates and executions.
  • Providing proactive product line support, including coordination with EU technical support resources.
  • Promoting the introduction of products at North American customers by providing presentations and demonstrations.
  • Organizing technical symposiums at customers in coordination with sales teams.
  • Supporting and following up with customers as they execute test plans and product evaluations.
  • Developing data to support internet site updates and product documentation.
  • Ensuring required tooling is defined and available for demonstration and customer evaluation.
  • Serving as the focal point for US customer or industry specification change reviews and comments.
  • Managing internal documentation changes for North America (Change Review Board).
  • Overseeing action plans for each area and ensuring deadlines and commitments to internal and external customers are met.
  • Travel may be required (national and international) to solve and analyze customer requirements and/or product issues.
  • Providing timely communication to management and internal/external customers on developments affecting profit, schedule, costs, customer relations, and inter-departmental relations.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of new technologies and product applications.
  • Complying with Federal, Local, and State government regulations, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
