Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Thermal Infrastructure department in Raleigh, NC, and Orlando, FL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing thermal infrastructure systems and collaborating with engineers from various disciplines to provide comprehensive services to our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level direction to senior mechanical engineering staff to ensure successful project completion and office operations.
  • Supervise mechanical discipline managers and ensure they are applying corporate quality management processes and procedures.
  • Lead the development of office mechanical standards and coordinate them across offices.
  • Engineer of Record on select projects as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to clients and project managers.
Requirements:
  • 25+ years of technical experience in designing thermal distribution systems, central utility plants, and building mechanical systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer's license, with existing licensure in NC and/or VA preferred.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and/or drafting, as well as pipe stress modeling, is a plus.
