Machinist Tradesperson

We are seeking an experienced Machinist Tradesperson to join our team at LaborOne Staffing. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic shipyard environment, utilizing your mechanical skills and knowledge to perform repairs, installations, and maintenance on a variety of equipment.

• Perform mechanical repairs, installations, and maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and facilities.
• Diagnose failures and utilize mechanical knowledge to quickly resolve issues.
• Fill out required reports and documentation, including work orders and inspection forms.
• Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on utility distribution throughout the facilities.

• A high school education and trade school certificate in mechanical training or equivalent work experience.
• Specialized training (e.g., diesel engines, automated equipment) or equivalent work experience in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing systems in a production environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend schematics, diagrams, piping plans, and other manufacturer-supplied documentation.
• Understanding of energy recognition, personal protective equipment, and lock/tag out procedures.

• Precision measurement and alignment experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Engine repair and overhaul experience.
• Equipment operation skills.

This role involves working outdoors for more than 50% of the time, with constant exposure to wind, water, heat, and moderate conditions. You will be exposed to fumes, odors, dust, gases, various climates, and temperatures, as well as low ventilation conditions.

Additionally, you will be working near automated machinery, vibrations, and high levels of constant noise. Please note that this role requires the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces with limited visibility, and any shift.

The estimated salary for this role is around $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
