Job Overview

Hospital Setting:

Horizon Health is a 25-bed Critical Access, Rural Health Facility in Paris, IL.

We serve residents of Edgar County through community education, emergency services, and outpatient care.

Ours is a community that has grown beyond our Paris location, thanks to our expanding services and locations.

Job Description:

The incumbent will be registered in at least two modalities in the areas of X-ray, Fluoroscopy, CT, Mammography, MRI, and/or use of portable testing equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct requested testing in the Radiology department per physician orders.
  • Obtain patient clinical history before beginning any exam.
  • Demonstrate competency in collimation, positioning, and techniques.
  • Evaluate radiographs for technical quality before delivery to the radiologist.
  • Monitor film badge and follow up on exposure level results monthly.
  • Be proficient with multiple machines and procedures used for radiology testing processes.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and families at all times.
  • Respect patient confidentiality by using discretion when discussing health information.
  • Maintain a clean and infection-controlled environment by practicing universal controls.
  • Be available for call coverage, rotating shifts, and disaster callback.

Position Requirements

Education and Certification:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an approved school.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • State of Illinois licensure through the Department of Nuclear Safety or IEMA.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
Estimated Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Hours:

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7p-7a (36 hours) or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 4:30p-7a, 5:30p-7a, and 5:30p-7a (40 hours).

No Holidays, No Call, No Weekends.
