Hunger Relief and Development Associate

Bread for the World, Inc. is a leading Christian advocacy organization dedicated to ending hunger in the United States and around the world. We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Hunger Relief and Development Associate.
About the Role:
- This part-time position offers 22.5 hours of work per week with the possibility of remote work from Washington, DC or anywhere in the United States.
- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of development, including fundraising, membership support, and data management.
Responsibilities:
- Foundation Fundraising:
- Conduct research on grant prospects and prepare briefing documents.
- Assist in writing grant proposals and reports.
- Identify potential donors through church contacts and research.
- Contact donors to express gratitude and encourage continued support.
- Data cleanup in the database.
- Provide administrative support for membership-related tasks.
- Assist in setting up Peer-to-Peer fundraising campaigns.
- Participate in department meetings.
- Complete additional projects as assigned by the team.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher with some prior office work experience.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite and database software.
- Familiarity with Raisers' Edge database is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- A commitment to the mission of Bread for the World.
Estimated Salary Range: $30,000 - $40,000 per year
