About the Role

As a Medical Nurse Specialist at Lifespan Corporation, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. This is a part-time position with a shift schedule of 3.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment. This role involves providing direct patient care, supervising and evaluating nursing care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing care, ensuring that patients receive high-quality, safe, and effective care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or licensure in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement.
  • Minimum two years' experience in medical-surgical nursing, ambulatory care, or surgical services in a hospital setting.
  • Certified Wound Nurse (CWN), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), or Certified Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurse (CWOCN) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
