Nurse - Outpatient Treatment Center

New Season Treatment Centers have been a leading national healthcare service provider of outpatient treatment centers specializing in providing safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).
We operate in over 70 treatment centers across multiple states, engaging our team members in medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management of individuals living with OUD. Our goal is to provide a continuum of care that addresses treatment needs and supports patients on their journey to recovery.
Job Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the Medical Director or Registered Nurse for medical matters and the Program Director for administrative matters, this nurse will participate in the promotion and restoration of patients' health, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and provide support to patients.
Essential Functions:
- Supplies and administers medication pursuant to physician order, records dosage administered in the medical record.
- Conducts daily inventory of medication supply and maintains absolute accuracy in daily accounting of medication.
- Assumes responsibility for safeguarding medication inventory.
- Collects fees in the absence of a cashier position and performs daily cash reconciliation.
- Receives and ensures the accuracy of incoming medication shipments.
- Ensures disposal of medical waste through proper protocol.
- Observes patient's demeanor prior to dosing and seeks guidance from the Medical Director or Registered Nurse when an issue or concern is noted.
- Promptly communicates patient issues or concerns to the Medical Director or Registered Nurse.
- Contacts other centers to verify dosages as needed.
- Administers lab tests as required, including patient vital signs and collects data for review by Medical Director or RN.
- Schedules and screens patients to be seen by the Medical Director.
- Assists the Medical Director in collecting data for the history and physical as required.
- Maintains absolute control and tracking of all patient medical paperwork.
Responsibilities:
This role actively participates in CARF preparation and state audit process. The nurse also complies with all Local, State, Federal, and Colonial Management Group, LP rules, regulations, and policies. The nurse must always act in the best interest of patients, the program, and company, honoring, supporting, and protecting the proprietary rights of patients and the company.
Qualifications:
This position requires an active nursing license in the state where the clinic is located. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of direct patient contact experience and prior experience in a clinical environment is a plus. The nurse must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with great attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The nurse must also be computer literate and have basic knowledge of Microsoft products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
