Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the City of Hopkinsville, KY. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to the public, answering and redirecting phone calls, and performing various clerical duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and redirect phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide general information to the public and direct them to the appropriate office or department
  • Sort and post mail and packages
  • Perform other assigned clerical duties
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, City officials, and the general public

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in customer service, clerical, or equivalent training
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Work Environment:

This position is performed in a normal office environment, requiring sitting for extended periods and use of computer keyboards.
