Job Summary

Pacifica Hotels is actively searching for a skilled Cook to join the team at Marina del Rey Hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for cooking food as ordered, managing multiple orders simultaneously, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food properly.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment when handling food, cleaning equipment, and as needed.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Prepare cold foods.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked according to food safety regulations. Update required food and temperature logs.
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food.
  • Set-up and break down work station.
  • Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
  • Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
What We Offer

Pacific Coast Salary: $44,000 - $48,000 per year or approximately $20-$22 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, vacation and sick leave, team member travel program, quarterly team building activities, and select charity promotions throughout the year.
