Job Title: Tableau Administrator

At Elavon, we're committed to building innovative payment solutions that help our customers achieve their financial goals. We're seeking a skilled Tableau Administrator to join our team and leverage their expertise to deliver complex solutions supporting our Business Intelligence team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau software and server components
  • Monitor and optimize Tableau server performance, availability, and capacity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau-related issues, such as data access and dashboard loading
  • Provide system administration support to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and deployments
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Tableau users, including creating and editing SQL queries, data sources, and calculated fields
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability
  • Expertise in Tableau server commands like synchronization, Tabadmin, Tabcmd, and Tableau server backup activity
  • Expertise in resolving workbook performance issues and implementing best practices
  • Assist in developing new Tableau dashboards and monitor, maintain, and enhance existing dashboards
  • Translate findings into actionable insights for non-technical audiences
  • Be a creative problem solver bringing innovative solutions to data challenges
  • Present your work to the business audience, team members, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Teams to estimate, plan, and manage new feature development and testing
  • Work with team members to analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized data solutions while keeping the overall end-user experience in mind
  • Assist with in-depth analysis of technical problems, suggest short-term and long-term resolutions, and an overall roadmap for completion
  • Support post-deployment activities, including knowledge transfer, process documentation, and application bug fixes
  • Adhere to and complete US Bank's Risk Management compliance procedures and exercises, including performing Data Resiliency, Data Corruption, Health Assessment, and Data Recovery exercises
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Five to seven years of statistical and/or data analytics experience
  • Preferred skills and experience include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related graduate coursework
  • Hands-on experience developing customized solutions within the Tableau platform
  • Hands-on experience designing, coding, and implementing Tableau dashboards
  • 7+ years of experience developing IT systems
  • 3-5 years of experience with Tableau development
  • 3-5 years of SQL experience
  • Experience integrating Tableau visualizations into web applications
  • Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration from various data sources
  • Certified in Tableau Server Associate or Server Admin
  • Experience with integrating Tableau in Azure Cloud
