We are seeking an experienced Archaeological Field Research Specialist to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. As an integral part of our archaeological practice, this role will involve conducting field surveys, data recovery initiatives, and project tasks within deadlines and budgets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting Section 106 assessments for infrastructure and energy projects, including fieldwork, archaeological resource identification, and project effects assessment.
  • Completing or assisting with additional Section 106 tasks, such as consultation and project mitigation.
  • Conducting artifact analysis and curation efforts.
  • Managing individual projects and coordinating with colleagues, clients, agencies, and the public.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field.
  • Current standing member of the Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA) or qualified archaeologist under the Secretary of the Interiors Professional Qualifications for Archaeology (36 Code of Federal Regulations, CFR Part 61).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and ArcGIS software.

The successful candidate will have experience in conducting archaeological fieldwork, analyzing artifacts, and managing projects. A valid driver's license is required.
