Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant at CommonSpirit Health, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed medical practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in a timely and cost-effective manner. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with clinical patient care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible individualized nursing care. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to clearly communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Assist with patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and wound care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Qualifications:
One year of experience in an outpatient medical office or physician clinic setting.
Medical terminology ability to clearly communicate and understand English.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of experience in a clinical setting.
Associates degree in a related field.
Working knowledge of state-supported programs specific to rural health clinics and Medical Assistant certification.
Spanish speaking skills.
