Masonry Estimator

We are a leader in the Masonry industry, seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our Construction team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to manage and coordinate the entire estimation process from initial stages to final proposal submission. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Commercial Masonry, Project Estimation, Material Take Off (MTO), and Scheduling.

• Manage and coordinate the entire estimation process
• Evaluate blueprints, plans, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
• Perform Material Take Off (MTO) to identify the quantity and type of materials required for each project
• Use expertise in Commercial Masonry to provide accurate cost estimates for masonry-related tasks
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
• Prepare reports and projections based on project costs, and present findings to management, clients, or project personnel
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components
• Use software for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction estimation, specifically in commercial masonry
• Proficient in relevant software, including CAD and estimation software
• Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations
• Proven ability to read and understand architectural plans and specifications
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize and plan effectively
• Professional certification in estimation or a related field would be advantageous
