Child Development Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team in Edmore, MI. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to promote social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and develop individualized plans to support their development
• Provide counseling services to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns, working collaboratively with teachers and parents to create supportive learning environments
• Develop and implement programs to promote positive mental health and well-being, including school-wide initiatives and small-group interventions
• Consult with teachers and administrators to develop strategies and interventions that promote student success, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or a related field
• Valid Michigan certification as a School Psychologist (or eligibility for certification)
• Strong knowledge of child development principles, psychological assessments, and intervention strategies
• Experience working with diverse student populations in a school setting (preferred)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families
