Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team at Spaulding Rehabilitation in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect an understanding of patients' age and situation, including discharge planning.
  • Monitor and revise treatment plans based on patient progress towards stated goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and practice guidelines.
  • Orient, train, and mentor therapy and health care students to achieve stated performance expectations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for performance improvement to ensure best practices.
  • Contribute to departmental, organizational, or network activities as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Basic math and computer science skills.
  • Appropriate knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques.
  • Problem-solving skills for physical therapy evaluation, interpretation, treatment planning, and execution.
  • Teaching skills and self-assessment of learning needs, strengths, and professional goals.
  • Ability to safely execute job responsibilities without risking injury to self or patients.
  • Computer proficiency, with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a variable work schedule, including evenings, holidays, weekends, and travel.

  • Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and contribute as a member of a team.
  • Anticipation of challenges and development of strategies to address them.
  • High level of service delivery, initiative, and adaptability.
  • Attention to detail.

Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience
