Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and responsible Transportation Specialist - Bus Operator to join our team at Goshen Community Schools. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with children, have excellent communication skills, and possess a valid CDL license.

About the Role

The Transportation Specialist - Bus Operator will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, as well as on field trips and extracurricular activities. This position requires a strong ability to maintain order among children, operate a bus on schedule routes, and perform routine maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressure and fuel levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport students to and from school, as well as on field trips and extracurricular activities
  • Maintain order among children transported
  • Operate assigned bus on schedule routes
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as checking tire pressure and fuel levels
  • Assist students and other passengers to enter and leave the vehicle as necessary
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL license with passenger endorsement
  • Able to safely transport students to and from school
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
