Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Home Assistant to join our team at Heinzerling Community. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with severe and profound developmental disabilities.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $16.75-$18.75 per hour, paid bi-weekly. This includes shift differentials and weekend pay. We also offer an immediate accrual of Paid Time Off, a retirement plan with 50% company match, tuition reimbursement, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage starting after 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring the general cleanliness of resident living areas, including activity rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
  • Stock supplies in designated areas and assist with mealtime set-ups.
  • Support residents with daily tasks such as brushing their teeth and participating in designated programs and activities.
  • Transport residents to and from designated areas, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
  • Document resident activities and progress as directed by the Unit Manager.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds regularly and push individuals who weigh up to 200 pounds in wheelchairs. You should also be able to use your hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. It's essential to stay awake for the entire shift and assist with the care of male and female residents.
