Job Summary

JHNA is seeking a highly skilled Model Based Systems Engineer to support our NAVAIR government customer located at NAS Pax River, MD. This position will require on-site support.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will apply scientific, mathematical, and statistical methodologies to study and analyze technological problems related to engineering and scientific development of processes, systems, and equipment. They will focus on developing and implementing Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) techniques to support Department of Defense (DoD) weapon systems.

Key tasks include designing and developing MBSE solutions for acquisition programs, transforming existing legacy systems using previously developed system engineering documentation, and improving standardization and interoperability in a digitally integrated modeling environment while protecting classification and Intellectual Property (IP) data rights.

The ideal candidate will have experience in building and assessing systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodologies to conduct technical assessments and recommendations that inform key technical decisions. They will also have proficiency in MS Office, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and the ability to work in a self-directed work environment and a distributed team environment.

Requirements:

The candidate must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance. They must also have a BS or BA degree in a STEM degree from an accredited college or university and at least 5 years of recent and relevant experience in engineering.
