About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Director, Product Development to join our team at STERIS Canada Corporation. As a key member of our Healthcare Digital Workflow Solutions team, you will be responsible for leading the global Healthcare Digital Solution product security effort, encompassing the full product lifecycle cyber security.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Define and Implement Security Standards: Develop and implement appropriate security standards and certifications for our solutions and services.
  2. Support Sales and Commercial Teams: Provide security-specific responses for RFPs and customer technical meetings.
  3. Establish Cyber Security Standards: Maintain cyber security standards for software delivery to customers, focusing on risk management and tools for customer-deployed solutions.
  4. Collaborate with Software Engineering Teams: Plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web, desktop, and mobile applications built on industry-leading technologies.
  5. Instill a Security-First Mindset: Coach and mentor team members to adopt a security-first approach, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with a broad range of technical environments.
  3. 5+ years of experience developing and executing strategic security plans.
  4. 5+ years of experience managing product security in a software-as-a-service (SAAS) environment.
  5. Understanding of data security governance and cloud data architectures/security.
  6. Strong technical aptitude, product common sense, and curiosity combined with a genuine love for products, people, and user experience.
  7. Well-versed in software security disciplines and principles, with a keen sense of when to choose the right tools for the job.
  8. Expert eye for detail and consistency.
  9. Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment.
  10. Proven initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes.
  11. Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders.
Desired Certifications / Technical Security Qualifications
  1. CISSP, Security / Network +, CCSP, SSCP, CSX-P, CISM, CISA.
  2. Information security qualifications tailored to the healthcare industry (e.g. HCISPP).
  3. Relevant Data Protection / Privacy Management qualification / Penetration testing.
