We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Sentara Healthcare.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patients' needs, developing personalized rehabilitation plans, and implementing effective treatment strategies.

About the Job:

  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities and create customized treatment plans to address specific needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide age-appropriate education to patients and caregivers on proper techniques, safety measures, and adaptive equipment usage.
  • Supervise and guide other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress, treatments, and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Licensure as an OT in various states, depending on location.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000 per year, based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.
